Currently I have a 6 year old Raymarine e80 radar and plotter.

I'm thinking of starting over, but will add ais transceiver and sonar for certain, and maybe an open array radar, possibly.

I'll also be running Android based tablets and phone, but didn't like using different nav software for those. Currently use Navionics, which I like a lot, polar navy on laptop.

$$ cost$$ is always an issue in the sense that if I can get 90% of what I want for half the cost of 100%, it's a no brainer.

I'll need full European chart coverage by next summer and the rest of the world by 2016.

I have read the detailed thought process that n47.. has been going thru, but it wasn't clear to me how aligned our goals are.

I'd like to have a plan, subject to modification of course, in the next few weeks.
