Weather Instructional Info

Can anybody recommend a marine weather course, book or interactive internet course or seminar. The power sq offers mini courses on wx, but they are infrequent.

This is a comprehensive book. Don't buy it if you're looking for a light read. This is more like a college textbook in weather course. Of course written by the Dashew's, it's focused on the practical applications for boaters.

I second Keith's recomendation of Mariners Weather Handbook and find it easy to understand. I also recomend Oceanography and Seamanship (Van Dorn)

Check out Mariner's Weather by William Crawford.* It's used as a primary text book at OCSC Sailing School.* It's a little dated but the forcasting hasn't changed (much).
