Swap Garmin GPS units

I have a Garmin 182-C + chips + transducer installed. I can get a Garmin 498 w/built in maps for free. Will the 498 work with the transducer from the 182-C and will the cables match up?

I can confirm that Garmin has Great telephone support . I just went through some issues with them concerning transducer compatability , and they had all the answers.
