raymarine st40 to replace datamarine depth

i would like to ask if anyone has a raymarine st40 or i40 tridata depth. my old datamarine depth readout is dim and expensive to repair and i here that the raymarine will work fine with existing transducer.

I'm assuming you are aware that not all Datamarine depth instruments are 200kHz like Raymarine. Many, especially the older ones , use 120kHz transducers. You didn't mention in your post which model you have/want to replace. Just an FYI.
