I have a Raymarine RD218 radar unit that was damaged by Hurricane Irma. It appears that a power surge or lightning strike blew out the starting capacitors.
They are damaged too much to determine was size that they were.
My options are, 1. Replace capacitors, hoping that nothing downstream is damaged. 2. Find a used unit. 3. Upgrade to new system.
I would like to work my way up the list, replacing the capacitors, first.
Does anyone has a RD218 that can tell me the specs on the capacitors? I can't find anything online on a schematic.
