Phenomenal radar

So, I just noticed my phone “radar” app is now getting precipitation data worldwide. Now including the middle of the Pacific, Indian Ocean and right now some wintry mix stuff in the southern oceans. And now, all countries are covered.

When did this data become available? I suspect its a blend of land based and sat imagery.

What radar app do you use?

Thanks,

Looks like an interesting app. Not particularly useful for British Columbia, as there is not much in the way of radar information north of the southern
parts of Strait of Georgia.

Phenomenal radar

Is that south of Ketchikan and north of Vancouver I? I see some offshore returns there now.

There might be something in the vicinity of Prince Rupert, but I would doubt there would be much of anything south of that and north of VI.
