P79 Transducer Issue

Have a Beneteau ST 44 / 2019 w/Raymarine eS127 MFD. Transducer is a P79 - . Issue is….its intermittently connecting and then dropping out. Was working fine three days ago. Thoughts and recommendations most welcome!

By dropping out do you mean it looses any depth reading or is the connection to the MFD actually interrupted? I have a P79 also and it has a very slight leak where it is bedded to the hull and will loose fluid. Every few months I will loose the depth reading and know that its time to top off the base with glycol. Occasionally I'll remember to check it before I loose the depth...

X2 on a leak. Check around the base with dry paper towels for any signs of leaking. Top off the fluid to see if the problem goes away.

I get a pop up on the MFD that says no connection to selected transducer. I did check the fluid level and topped it off, but that did not help

How resilient is the P79? Do these fail frequently?
