Are there any good replacements -- ideally LED and a bit slicker looking -- for these old-style panel lights?

I can't even figure out how to Google them best. In aircraft they were post lights (though these are larger than the aircraft ones). I also think I used to call them map lights but the meaning of that term has changed over time.

They are called 12V indicator lights. A ton of places sell them, DigiKey, Mouser, Amazon, etc. It helps to know what color you want, hole diameter, panel depth, light shape and size, water resistance level, and brightness.

Oh, geesh, I totally misunderstood what he was asking about. I saw the red light in the picture! Sorry!

Ah ha - "hooded" was the magic phrase I was missing. Thanks!

..and Aircraft Spruce is a good place to look. Marine applications don't even need a TSO. *grin*
