I want to have my solar panels installed by an installer familiar with boats, any referrals?

My intention is to to use two 170 watt panels, in parallel, potentially needing a “gender change” and will need a fuse. I will buy the system.

Thanks.

I suspect that by now most marine electricians are familiar with solar and can install a solar system for you, just like they got familiar with inverters years ago. This issues involved with installing a solar system on a boat are about half solar specific- type of panel and controller and boat specific- wire routing and mounting.

So ask around the marinas you frequent who would be a good marine electrician. I generally prefer independents rather than yard technicians, but some of the latter are good too.

There are many many marine mechanics along the entire Tennessee River. Sure you will be able to find a good experience one along the 652 miles of the river.
