How big does your boat have to be...
So I saw this on my Waterway Guide navigation email:
Clicking on the link, I found that they have 3 phase 208 and 480 volt shore power available. How big does your boat have to be to need 3 phase 480 volt.

When in Gocek Turkey in 2007, the boat docking (Med Moor) across the dock from our 42' charter sailboat was big enough the marina electricians were pulling wire into the dock box behind us. The new connection was of 3 wires, each ~1" diameter. Once connected, the super yacht connected could turn off the genset(s).
Never see problems of that magnitude in local marinas.

My boat is not big, but it does have one 3 phase 400v 50hz circuit. This is largely for the windlass so would not need it at the dock.

Thats the navigator seat on my boat.
It energizes the same time the depth slarm sounds.
