It looks like my 1993 Impulse mod 2801 depth/fish finder has died of old age as of yesterday, though I haven't taken it out of the console to see if wires have come disconnected, etc. So, I am looking for a replacement, really all I want is a depth finder, simpler the better. The transducer is thru-hull so I hope I can find one to fit in that thru hull. Size of the unit I have now is about 7"x4" and is fitted to the console. I've boon online and looked at this one, Raymarine i40 Depth with Thru-Hull Transducer Raymarine i40 Depth System. I cant use the non-thru hull type transducer because its aluminum, also don't want to hang one off of the transom.
