The on/off-thermostat switch in my AC/DC Coolmatic (now owned by Dometic) got corroded to the point I cannot twist it with a pair of pliers. The reefer is inoperative now. I am hoping that a new switch (it only has two wires connected to it plus the capillary tube) will resolve the issue, but of course every place I have sought a bit of help, including Dometic, has been AWOL. Anybody out there have a clue?

Try a Google search for "refrigerator thermostat " and look under images. Not an exact replacement, but maybe useable.

Great idea! I found a couple that might work. In the meanwhile, Dometic apparently provided my email to them to a dealer who sent me an email today offering assistance. One way or the other, I'll have one soon. Thanks for your help, Ted.
