The Capn Software Wind Speed

I have noticed that The Capn has an area for true and relevant wind speed. I am curious if anyone is using The Capn and has some sort of wind instrument hooked up to the computer so you can see wind speed. I have looked in the manual and help files but did not find any information on where it gets the data from?

On racing sailboats, we had true wind speed/direction and apparent wind speed/direction.* The insturmentation consisted of an anemometer, a wind vane, knot meter, and electronic compass.* Apparent wind speed and direction was raw data from the anemometer and wind vane.* True was calculated from apparent date coupled with direction (compass) and boat speed.* True wind and wind speed can be derived graphically or mathmatically.* It's a lot easier when the onboard computer does it for you.
