Hi to all,
We have 4 12 volt batteries. All are fine except for one. One half of the battery seems fine but the other takes a lot of distilled water every few days.( looks dry). Just wondering everyone's thoughts about this. causes and solutions.

Thanks
Gordo

if batteries are in parallel when one has a failed cell th others will dump charge into that battery and cause acid to boil as it gets too hot.

Disconnect all of them and measure voltage. One will probably be 10.5 V. that will be the bad one. replacing all with the same brand new is recommended because old and new batteries will have different charge. discharge profiles.
