120 volt switch sourcing...

Having trouble sourcing this switch which is used for lighting and head vent fan on our 1983 Trojan.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried Bob at Beacon Marine? He is the go to guy for everything Trojan.

Its a common type of switch. You just need to find one the same size or slightly bigger if you enlarge the hole. Just google "120V rocker switch" and make sure the rating is at least 8.5 Amps. Theres plenty for around $2 each.

Of course you are correct that any switch with appropriate rating would work... I was hoping that these exact switches were still available somewhere before doing something else.

The Trojan is all original in regards to interior woodwork and accessories like lighting and switches... would like to keep it that way if possible. Everything on the internet is new styled black "euro" designed looking stuff. Definitely doable if necessary. Thanks for the input!!

We used to own an F32 and he was great getting us parts and info on the boat. He was able to get us an original owners manual for the boat.

Paneltronics is older. Might have been OEM for Trojans.

Since the switch will be used on a boat circuit , a better grade of switch will last the longest.

Look at Cole Hersey and order a proper rated marine switch.

Is there no other identifying info on the switch, or others onboard? If you can establish the vendor you could use the web archive to look up old websites for them. That's sometimes useful to track where a product/company has gone over time. You're not going to find a website from '83, of course, but the archive does have sites back as far as 1999.
