Our DHT (delayed honeymoon trip)

Day 1 - Saturday the 4th. No go. Yucky weather all day. So we hung out on the boat at the marina. I pouted and took a nap. Then David decided to clean out the rats nest of old TV and audio electronics from previous owner that was cluttering up an entire valuable cabinet space. Then we went and bought a new tv.
Btw, these pictures were taken over a span of about 3-4 minutes.

The attempt at de-cluttering.

Day 2 - we are on our way. Stopped at the Rigolets for fuel and headed to Bay St. Louis. Will stay there tonight and head out tomorrow for Pensacola. We are currently waiting on the railroad bridge to open.

I never get tired of taking pictures of the lighthouse.

How many days do you have for your trip? Do you have a turn-around point in mind?

Wow that cloud in Saturdays pictures looks dangerous, good idea to stay put. You all have a great trip! Gulfport's marina is real nice too.

If you have time, consider a side trip to Singing River Yacht Club in Pascagoula.

It was one of the most ominous skies I’ve ever seen and it went through so fast.
The bad weather stuck around all day but nothing like these pictures.

Smart move delaying your start. Those were some nasty looking clouds. Have a safe trip.

Thanks for posting your trips. Keep it up.

And tell the hubby, think of rain as free water, get out there and wash the boat!

We do plan on stopping back overnight in Bay St. Louis. It will likely be Friday.
Harbormaster Chuck said we could have the same slip if we came back and that was pier 2-slip 11.

Lol. He had just washed it the evening before!
The water yesterday turned my swim platform a nasty yellow color. I scrubbed and scrubbed with boat wash, non skid cleaner, tried dishwashing detergent. Nothing was getting it clean. The captain of the beautiful sport fish next to us had some stuff and he used it on my swim platform and it worked! I’m trying to find where David put the bottle so I can see what it’s called because we need to buy some.

Yesterday we traveled from Bay St. Louis to Orange beach. It was a beautiful day. We ended up at the Whatf and looks like we will stay here until Thursday before heading home.
There’s a concert here tonight and the slip rent is $5.00/ft! Tomorrow night it goes back to normal. I don’t even know who’s playing!
We had some delicious oysters last night at a restaurant here. We met a guy who has a boat here who lives in our town! Small world. I’m going to see if I can rent a car for a few days to go back and forth to the beach. Probably cheaper than ubering.

Try Bar Keepers Friend...wet down...sprinkle some on and brush to distribute.
If its similar to the yellow stains I'm familular with it takes a mild acid to whiten. Bar keepers contains oxalic acid.

Enjoy the trip.
