I spent some time in Great Harbor and the Stirrups in the mid 70's, had something to do with day charters for the Cruise Lines. The charm of the Berry's is that except at the ends, Chub at one and Great Harbor and the Stirrups at the other, there's no one there, and so you end up with pristine Bahamas's water, reefs, fishing, beaches and islands all to yourself. All this 100 miles from South Florida.
There are Marina townhouse and house rentals on Great Harbor, and back when there was pretty good non-scheduled but regular flights from West Palm and Ft Lauderdale.
