Forgive the newb question...

When washing the bimini et al in the flybridge, should I cover the flybridge controls or am being overly cautious?

Thanks in advance.

My gauges have plexiglass doors over them but nothing over the control levers. So builders thought the gauges needed protecting at least. Wouldn't hurt to put plastic bags over the levers too. My fly bridge is fully enclosed so the only time things are going to get wet is when washing.
