After 30 years, my S.S. vinyl coated lifeline is showing its age and I must replace it. As I will be makin' up the lines myself, I am lookin' at vendors to purchase 44 feet of cable and three sets on studs and gate eyes. Best price I came up with was from Bosun Supplies Inc. in Maryland. Never dealt with them before and lookin' for a recommendation.

All of my experience with lifelines has been on sailboats. Sailboats are moving away from the vinyl coated lines since they can hide corrosion. Sailboaters tend to take their lifelines a bit more seriously and most have gone to bare stainless cable or even dynema lines.

My Son only races his sail boat.
His lifelines were swapped out for dyneema as well.
