- 54' Bruce Roberts steel sailboat hull, coastal LRC, 220HP CAT 3306.
At the end, I did not use any sander. The one I bought was not doing anything, plus I did not have time. I had to change my plan and just used the primer I had. It worked out very well. It held strong and the top coat was easy to put on. As long it holds for a couple year, I am satisfied.
Covering the boat was required for any type of sending and it is not easy to cover a boat of this size. I will have to plan this better, if I ever want to sand anything. The boat was out of the water only for 4 days and other things had more priority.
So, the top side has a good primer now and a strong top coat. My goal is accomplished.
