Teak rail

I just finished sanding the teak rail around my 36 albin . The finish have alot of black spots underneath. Is there anything I should do before I apply cetol ? Thanks

There are wood bleach products , but perhaps a slurry of Comet standing on the dark spot will lift enough of the dark?

Try Barkeepers Friend. (Oxolic acid). Sold at Walmart. Do not scrub the teak with anything too hard. You don’t want to raid the grain.
