Old teak swim platform on our 1973 Bristol Trawler 42 is damaged beyond repair, particularly after an intimate encounter with a large piling in some strong current. It's a cambered outline, rough dimensions are 144" x 24".
Looking for solution options and suggestions. Stay true with custom teak? Fiberglass? Synthetic teak? Others? Cost is always a factor, but not the only factor. Whadya think?

Plasteak makes platforms. They made a bow pulpit for us on a previous boat and it was very nice.

I love the teak look when it's maintained. However, I like as little teak on the outside of my boat as possible. Either material, the only suggestion would be to consider making it oversized. Great dinghy dock for boarding and unboarding.images(2).jpeg
