Storing original documents

I just got my CG documentation today and copied it on my ink jet printer. I noticed that in the background the words "VOID" are all over the document.
This of course does not show on the original.

This got me to thinking; should I store original documents like this on the boat or at home?

I think you are supposed to keep the original on the boat Tim. That's what I've always done.

I have a file folder with all my important docs and all the instruction manuals for the stuff on the boat. I keep the docks in sealed Ziploc bags so they stay clean and dry.

And yes you're supposed to keep the original documentation paperwork on the boat.

I keep my original in a sleeved binder on the boat.
