I'm cleaning the stove top and it looks like the top should rotate or flip up but I can't get it to move. Any tricks?Click image for larger version

So my wife is away for the weekend and I decided to clean the stovetop. Instead of doing all the other stuff that are actually on my list.
FYI. Seaward Princess 3374-1002 propane. Click image for larger version

Serious Browney Points there! Assuming you didn’t hire the help, of course!

Cleaning the Princess

Ok, so it came out looking darn good. The question... besides elbow grease, what product(s). Did you use? Non-scratch scotch bright?? Have the same stove and the same chore ahead of me.

Many folks have a home workshop with a bench (small) grinder

With a wire brush instead of a grinding stone the bottom of pots and pans can be brought back to near new to the delight of "she who must be obeyed".

Purchase eye protection when you buy the brush.
