1993 vintage Naiad "Roll Control System" nameplate with rocker switch for "center" and "on".... and red "low oil" light on flybridge....works fine, but looks awful...corroded.

I call Naiad and they have none, and the only option is newer version where you have to buy the whole plate button, over heat and low oil light for $428 ! All to get a plate they probably paid $3 for.

Solutions-

1. Any of these lying around marine surplus stores, new old stock ?

2. Have trophy shop make one ?

3. ?

You could try calling Stabilized Marine in Florida and see f they have any laying around from take-outs, though I'd guess the plate is part and parcel to the switch and oil light assembly. Then there's the various surplus stores. Me, I'd go the trophy store engraver route; take the old one with you and they may come darn close, in any number of materials. Wait I take that back, as I just spent 1000% more time answering you than I would spend on the problem itself if I had it.

Already called Naiad Florida...they were the ones proud not to have one. In fact I had emailed their parts department a photo of it a week ago with note asking if they had one, and they never responded.

Judging from your last sentence I take it the actual point of your post was to show "I know stuff" and the second point was "But I'm salt of the earth guy and don't concern myself with such trivial matters on my own floating contrivance" ;)

Greetings,
Mr. D. A trophy shop shop is probably the quick and dirty and possibly cheapest option. I know nothing about printing but IF you had a good high resolution photo of the part you want, could a printing shop somehow bond it onto a piece of metal somehow? Silk screen? Just throwin' ideas out there....

There are auto restoration specialists that could make one that looks better than the original but I guess I'll just go with the black/white sandwich plastic that engravers use. The black will not last long in the sun but it's usually covered so may be ok.

Just annoying Naiad runs out of stuff like this as they probably cost them a dollar each back in '93....they should have hundreds of them squirreled away and just stick one in a 49 cent envelope and ship it out for free. :socool:

Call Joe the NAIAD guy at Cable Marine.

They do a lot of NAIAD work there and may have one laying around. In fact they might have the one they took off our boat when we upgraded to the MultiSea control system a year ago.
