Mess on deck

Rubber backing on some floor mats stuck to my cockpit deck when I pulled up the mats. I guess the heat last week softened then enough to stick to the deck. The backing attached to the deck when I pulled the floor mats up. Anyone have this happen? What did you remove it with?

Yes...used to happen to about every Sea Ray I worked on (maybe hundreds) but that was years ago...though backing might be better now.

Now lots of different rubber and similar floor coverings stick to a lot of surfaces, no good answer how to stop. Cleanup depends on material, often takes plain old mechanical removal with non scratching scraper.
