Fuel polisher/ transfer pump help

Is anyone familiar with this valve, or this system. I have tried to figure it out but am stumped. I’m not sure how to line these valves up. I have 2 fuel tanks 1 polisher filter and 1 transfer pump. The valves(2) are labeled on left filter, on right filter, off, off. I assume with these valves lined up correctly I can 1: polish fuel and return into each tank, 2: transfer fuel while polishing from one tank to the other. 3: transfer fuel without polishing. Any help would be appreciated

In the third picture, the valve to the right I'm guessing is suction (you should be able to tell by an arrow on the pump indicating direction of flow). Set on the left tank, it should direct fuel from the left tank to the filter, the Algae X (snake oil toy), then the pump, and finally to the valve (left of the pump) to direct it back to either tank. That's how I see it anyway. If the Racor is the filter to the fuel polisher, it almost always is used on the suction side of the pump. If you have any doubt, follow the hoses to determine the path.

Ted,
Thanks for the reply. The way you explained it makes sense. I will trace out the system next chance I get. Thanks again!!
