Hello all from frigid E-WA.

I need to have bottom paint done on my trailered tug. It will likely spend no more than 2 weeks in the water at a time until I'm retired. Cruising in Puget Sound and inland fresh water. Pettit Vivid has been recommended - thoughts?

thanks in advance.

Don’t apply any bottom paint. For two weeks or less in cold salt water or fresh water it isn’t needed imho. Worst case, you go to a do-it-yourself car wash after one of your trips.

Well, the PO did paint the bottom, so I'll probably need to do something. He had it on a trailer as well.

Considering that the boat will spend limited time in the water, just about any ablative paint will probably be fine. Why spend top dollar on Vivid?
