I have a older Californian 34 with teak hand rails attached to the outer sides of the cabin, port and starboard. They need refinishing and I would like to take them off to do this. I notice the last 3 sections in contact with the cabin have a teak plug that covers a 4" SS screw. However, the other sections do not have plugs. Does anyone know how this handrail might be attached, and how it can come off? Thanks.
