Hello,

I replaced our high water 4000 GPH bilge pump last year and now this one has basically broken in half. Xylem will not cover it under warranty because the one I bought was an "old stock" new and out of coverage.

I was shopping around for another one and ran across this pump. It about half the price of the Rule 56D version so was looking to see if anybody has went with this unit, specs are all the same.

The same unit as this is on ebay for $44 with free shipping so I might give it a whirl.

See the pics of our failed unit.

Jeff

My preferred bilge pumps currently are Johnson pumps. But I think any cheap Chinese knockoff will be better than a Rule pump or any other product made by Xylem.

Did you buy it on eBay? If you bought it through a legit dealer then I would expect the dealer to make good on it. If you bought it through ebay then it’s buyer beware.

Getting Rule or the dealer to replace it is a double edge sword. Yes, you get a new pump. That’s good. But now you still have a Rule pump in your bilge ready to fail again.

Whoever or whatever got you into a problem is usually NOT the person or thing you want to get you out of the problem.
