Hello,
Does anybody knows what is the normal working pressure for a rudder cylinder (wagner 700 or similar)?
I just got my rudder cylinder repaired at the hydraulic shop nearby and the guy wanted to know what is the normal working pressure to test it correctly.

Thank you for any info!

I've seen 700-1000 psi, and lines rated to 1200-1500 psi. But I have no spcific knowledge of the Wagner

Thank you !
I checked in seastar docs for similar cyinder and they easure the theoritical torque at 1000 psi so I guess this is a conventional pressure.

I'll confirm up to about 1,000psi. Normally it won't see that but under tough operating conditions and an auto pilot it could.

Do you have an AP pump? If so that manual will state working and system design pressures.

I only have helm pump at the wheels.
I told the guy to use 1000psi max pressure, thank you all for your help!
