I got a new anode for the Raritan water heater. The PO used "Seatech" fittings and PEX tubing 3/8" ID which is 1/2" OD. This is the hotwater outlet. Is the Seatech fitting reusable?

Thanks for that. And don't rub it in (LOL). EZPZ for your is often an event for me!

SeaTech fittings are reusable. I can't tell from the photo but that one may have a safety ring in place. You'll need to remove the ring before you can release the tube.

Ok. So. Have the anode out and replaced, certainly not before it was time. I have also obtained a new heating element. Based on the condition of the anode, should I prophylactly change the heating element? It still works but perhaps not as hot as I'd like.

I'd leave the element alone. When ever I change something that's working, I usually break it or something else. If the water isn't hot enough, turn up the themostat.
