Island Gypsy 36' Aft Cabin
Hello all,
I have an Island Gypsy 36' aft cabin with a 10' Polycraft tender. The tender weighs 75kg (165lbs) unladen. At the moment we are towing it behind when we need it but we are about to move into a permanent marina pen (slip) that won't have room for it to float behind our boat. Has anyone had experience with a tender this heavy? And ideas for storage/attachment to the boat please.

Andy G has davits, same cabin design as yours. If he doesn`t respond, send him a PM.

Sea Wise Davit System | Innovative and stylish yacht and boat davits

Of course there are also the types that the dinghy hangs from mounted on the transom.

These are just a few that google raised.
i use the Weaver davits on my hard shell 9' Livingston dinghy. A set of sheaves and some line allows me to pull it up fairly easily.

The Seawise systems are quite nice but , to me, expensive. I see a lot of these used in my neck of the woods.

Don't know though what you have in Australia but maybe these are available once you know what you are looking at.
