How Do You Determine What Size Bilge Pump You Need

Pretty easy to figure out. Enough so you don't sink!

I recommend minimum of three in any boat 30' to 40'. Redundancy of really good pumps could save your boat's and your life. Past 40' sky's the limit. After they're hooked up correctly... no muss no fuss. Just an easy, secure feeling. Should test on regular basis by turning each on every time you visit boat... or once a week or so if often aboard.

That is good! High water alarm should be distinct from others so it is not overlooked.

My high water alarm is a 4 inch bell that will wake the dead.
