half a Bowl

We have a West Marine compact electric head, model # 15957731, installed in our Californian 34. Probably about 5 years old. Issue is that it only shows incoming flush water in the rear of the bowl. Filling the bowl from an external source and pushing the button results in a rapid, and complete, flush of said bowl. Bypassing the hose from the seacock and flushing with the intake hose in a bucket results in the same problem. Apparently, the rim holes in the front of the bucket are some how blocked. Anyone had this sort of issue? If I pull the bowl off can I soak the rim holes, or must we probe each one to unblock it? That to me, leaves whatever material is blocking things still in the passageway.
I've tried running Sew Clean thru the system without much luck. Thanks for any thoughts.
