FWIW, we installed a Quick MC56 gyro two years ago. We couldn't fit a Seakeeper -- the Quick is significantly smaller, but for Fintry (79', 180 tons loaded displacement) it's still a 37" cube weighing a ton and a half and drawing 7kW. The thing is miraculous. Although Fintry has a fairly flat bottom, hard bilges, and bilge keels, she did get uncomfortable with more than 25 knots on the beam. The gyro takes almost all of the roll out up to about 30 knots on the beam and most of it out above that.

We're selling Fintry and moving ashore, but our next boat (GB36? Monk 36?) must have appropriate space to fit a Quick gyro -- probably about a 600 pound two foot cube drawing 1.5kW.
