Hi TF'ers. One of my upcoming projects involves adding better tank level monitoring. I have five tank levels to monitor onboard (three fuel, one water and one black water).

For the black water and fresh water it's pretty easy as I have access to the top of each tank and plan to install a Maretron Submersible Pressure Transducer in each tank.

The fuel tanks however have no topside access but each has a threaded bung that is currently used for the sight gauge.

My question is does anyone know if I can "T" a Maretron PT-0-1.5PSI-01 Pressure Transducer pressure transducer effectively "sharing" the bung with the transducer and the sight gauge.

I suppose I could just delete the sight gauge in favor of the transducer but I'm old fashioned about sighting fuel and would prefer to keep both.

Thanks in advance!

That's exactly what I did with our aft water tank sensor.

If you have available clearance, adding a valve to isolate the pressure transducer might make some future maintenance projects a bit tidier and keep from having to "drain" your sight glass.

As a "belt and suspenders" type of guy, my vote is to keep the sight glass
