I would like to find out the disposition of the other 12 boats that were made that are in my "class". I have a 1969 Pilot House Trawler built in Japan by Joe Stephens and designed by Blaine Seely.

Also, any idea where the number or name plate can be found that tell me what number she is?

Not much to go on. Photos of your boat so we can see it? Someone may recognize it.
Size 32', 36', 45' or what.

There are some boats that were designed by him called the Pacific Trawler about 37' and 41' although at '69 yours is before those.

There are a number of older pilot house trawlers around here but for the life of me I cannot remember the model name.

Any one of these even similar?

Length..? From the interior shot it looks like at least a 40'.

She's documented at 36.2 but commonly listed as a 37'. 13' beam and the draft is from 3'6 to 5'. Single diesel, diesel generator, 300 gallons of fuel, 150 fresh water. Sleeps 4, two in the fwd stateroom, 1 on the bridge and 1-2 in the Salon. Double planked Mahogany-Apitong frames.

Hi Nordic Star.

From what I've picked up over the years of trying to keep up on the owners of Pacific Trawler 37's and 40's, I've come across 7 other wood hulls besides your boat that were built 1969-1973. From my old info, the earlier wood hulls built in Japan were called Newport 37's and the later one or two were called North Sea 38's. At least one of these (KATINKA) has a reduced beam of around 12'4".

The accuracy of this information is dated and very suspect. Also, in the PNW, there are many wood boats of all types that are housed in covered boat sheds, and it just is not possible to know about boats that are kept from view and used only briefly during the summer.

It's guy's like you that make this Forum so Awesome. I've poured over the net looking for this information but was never able to find much. This information is fantastic. I went to the link you sent me and just for a second thought I was looking at my boat. A closer look shows her to have a fly bridge which just may be the Cloud Nine who is a Member of this Forum. I'm not technically proficient enough to send the Cloud Nine this link.

The closer I look at the Ahm Ok the more similiarities I see. One is the anchor position. On the Nordic Star the Anchor platform is extended 18" past the bull nose.
