Boaters Distraught over All Aboard Florida: Tell the Coast Guard Now | Sunshine State News

Please ALL boaters who boat, or ever expect to boat on these waterways, or any boater who uses, or expects to ever go to any of these marinas effected to please take the time to send the Coast Guard an email, and/or send a letter to them. This is our ONLY chance to stop this insane plan by a NY "hedge fund" to ruin the entire east coast waterfront from Miami to Cocoa Beach. I say "entire coast" that's because these tracks parallel the water the whole way. The prime Real Estate (waterfront) is east of these tracks (hence the saying "right side of the tracks") and the lesser value (not near water) is west. Beyond the fact it will devastate boating and real estate values, it's dangerous as these tracks usually separate residential and shopping centers (east) from Fire Rescue and hospitals (west) locations. Anybody who's been in Aventura or on State Road 84 knows what happens when just one train goes by. Imagine over 50 a day.

Due to the amount of trains expected, these train bridges will be kept in CLOSED position in the future, not in the open position as now. Think about that. 4' clearance on two rivers, and 7' on one when in closed position.

WRITE- you CAN DO SOMETHING. Don't wait until it's too late.
Goodbye Ft. Pierce, Stuart, Sebastian, and Cocoa Beach!
