I am not familiar with Florida laws regarding dealer/broker expressed warranties. I bought a boat from/thru a Florida boat manufacturer/dealer. 2012 model. It has Mercury 300 outboards. The dealer told me it had 5 years of Mercury full coverage on any item sold by Mercury that is on the boat, mechanical and electrical. After 3 years of factory full coverage (which was used frequently !!!) I was informed that the factory warranty is now expired and I have the Mercury gold coverage, instead of the platinum. Gold covers only lubricated parts, Platinum covers everything. A new ECM is going to cost $2400, not covered. The dealer has not volunteered to step up and Mercury is not going to do anything to help, even tho I have had ongoing problems with this engine since purchased. Any suggestions or reccomendations ?
