Cool features of ProAIS software

I recently installed an AIS transceiver and used the included ProAIS software to configure and test it. I use Coastal Explorer nav program. Two useful features of the ProAIS software that I was unaware of, are output of the AIS' gps signals to Coastal Explorer and a software 'switch' to turn off the broadcast of the boat's position. My Furuno gps is the primary signal networked to CE, and now I have an easy backup gps solution with the AIS' built in gps. Nor do I need to hard wire a switch to turn off the AIS broadcast. Bonus!

Cool. Where did you purchase the software. I'm illiterate concerning most of the tech stuff. I don't have an AIS as of now. Looking for something that will work with NOBELTEC. They're closed today.

I purchased a Si-Tex AIS transceiver. The software came with it.

An AIS transceiver is something that I would really like. I have a receiver only and would really like a transceiver for the dark, rainy, foggy weather.
