Using indoor/outdoor carpeting on the interior

I have a few ugly places that just need to be covered. Paint will not work because of gaps and old damage.**The biggest area is around the door to the salon. Water damage from an old fixed leak. *The thought was to glue carpet over it.* Just not sure it will stay in a marine enviroment. Enyone ever tried it?

RE: Using indoor/outdoor carpeting on the interior

SD:

Years ago I had a 54' Sportfisher whose hull bottom (inside ER) would not clean up. I used indoor/outdoor carpeting, secured with carpet tape to hold it down. (I did not want to use glue) It worked out great!
