US Boating Supplier that export to Australia????

I am based in Australia, however our boating*gear is very expensive and I was wondering who the biggest discount suppliers are in the US. Helpful if they ship to Australia.

I would guess everyone on this site has a favorite vendor, mine is Defender Industries, www.defender.com , generally competitive prices and good delivery experience with them both in US and internationally. Others to surf would be: for electronics - Overtons; for hard to find items - Jamestown Distributors; other general items - West Marine (typicall expensive but they have a policy of matching other vendors low prices).

I am a big fan also of defender.com. Electronics, etc. are also often cheapest at boatfix.com.

Defender is great for small stuff , where it is hard to purchase direct from a mfg.

IF you only need one or two pricy items you might have a private party just send it to you.

On electronics a warentee might be a problem if not locally purchased.
