Richard and Micah left today at about 1400 central time from the island of Hierro in the Canaries. Destination Barbados ( approximately 2500 nm). I received the following info from him after he got underway. "Large swells 10 sec west NW at about 8 feet. winds at 120 degrees and 12 knots. producing a 2 to 3 ft waves." He is running about 5.5 to 6 knots heading west. Richard asked me to post anything of interest and I figured we all would like to see the updates. I know that several of you are in contact with Richard as well so please add any updates that you wish. May he stay safe and have a great crossing.
