Update of 2020 Electrical Code

You will have to make sure your DC ground is isolated from your AC neutral before plugging in to any updated pedestal. Otherwise you might trip the whole pier. A lot of marinas have already upgraded due to insurance issues.
 
The NEC doesn’t have jurisdiction over boats in a marina. However, it can require current leakage measurement devices be in place at any facility where more than three receptacles supply shore power.

I LIKE that. Someone shows up with a live boat the buzzers go off and the marina will hae to identify and cut them off until fixed. I LIKE that.

Not gonna do much for zinc sales..... lol
 
Yep, I peered into the future and installed isolation transformers last year.

Yes my boat’s electrical system is in great shape but it feels good that my boat is effectively isolated from the other boats in the harbor
