Trying to identify a dingy davit

Hi:
Can anyone provide any info/insights into this davit? Has anyone seen one similar? Am wondering if it was custom built. It uses a Warn Z3500 winch.

I wouldn't rely on the winch as a clue to a marine application as Warns are popular truck and engineering winches.

Looks like a custom build.

Thanks, menzies. I have had the boat for about two months and am making a maintenance and parts log. Need to replace the cable and determine how much damage the rust has caused.

If you have a Harbor Freight, truck supply, or similar in your area you should be able to get inexpensive replacement winches and cables.

I replaced the marine winch on my last boat with a 12v Warn winch and it was fine.

Looks like a custom or limited edition.

I made a similar setup for my boat.

I used a Harbor Freight winch....when the cable rusted or even new winches now, I go to Amazon and order the dyneema ATV replacement for the cable.
