Trawler Charter Reommendation?

Hi All;


My sloop has just been listed for sale, and I am giving very serious consideration to the purchase of a trawler in the 36 foot range. But I thought that before writing the check, that the Admiral and I should charter one for a week to be sure that it is for us. So.. can anyone recommend a charter company in New England or on the Chesapeake that we could contact?

Oxford Yacht Agency charters a pair of Grand Banks 42 classics out of Oxford, MD on the Chesapeake. I have no affiliation with them other than having stayed several times as a transient in their marina.

Chartering is a great idea. after that you might want to get aboard different styles of trawlers. If you're thinking NE, there is plans for two TrawlerFest events this year; Newport in June and Baltimore in September.
