Governmentally speaking, they are 'Newfoundland and Labrador', one Canadian province. But I assure you they are two completely separate places, one on the mainland (Labrador) and one on an island (Newfoundland) which is pronounced New-Found-LAND. It is entirely appropriate to refer to Newfoundland as a separate entity.

Arrrgh, I feel your pain friend... I spent some time north of the Arctic Circle and while the northern lights were beautiful, I soon exhausted my supply of Akvavit and steamed south preferring the smooth aged rums and tropical fruits to polar bears and lutfisk !

When it gets really cold on board many compasses will grow a bubble from the oil shrinking in the cold.

It worked! Filled back out perfectly! No air compressor needed!
I'm going to name this "Florida Keys fender inflation method"....😁😁

For $12, I found this to be handy to keep in the tool box. Not as much fun as the FL Keys method, but functional when needed.
