COLUMBIA AND SNAKE RIVERS – Winter Recreational Vessel Lockage Schedule
The USACE Portland and Walla Walla Districts will implement the Winter Recreational Vessel Lockage Schedule from 16 Sep 14 to 14 May 15 for the passage of recreational craft through the navigation locks. Winter recreational vessel lockage will be made during daylight hours only, on request at each of the locks. Commercial traffic continues to have lockage precedence over recreational traffic; however, at the discretion of the lock operator, recreational vessels may be allowed to lock through with commercial vessels. As a reminder for all vessel owner/operators, transiting through the locks is at your own risk, and everyone in a vessel must wear a Personal Floatation Device (PFD) during lockage. For additional information about specific closure dates for individual locks, visit the following website: http://www.nww.usace.army.mil/Missions/Navigation.aspx or contact the USACE Portland District at (503) 808-4510 or USACE Walla Walla District at (509) 527-7115 or 7111.
