Hopefully you'll still get the chance. Cornelia and Mike and the kids are great. Never met Artemo but have heard much about them from Cornelia. Gromit just arrived the other day, their blog is on sailblogs. Our kids are the same ages and when they were in Deltaville for many months we became life long friends. Drove down to Jekyll and saw them there. My wife helped Cornelia with much of her provisioning and documentation. Hard to believe 5 months later they're in the south Pacific.

Your most welcome, but I think I got the best of the deal.* I tore down the Espar, and vacume packed all the parts for spares.* By the way, the guy who did the weld repair tried to braze the stainless parts, resulting in the bronze filler material not sticking at all. ** I've brazed/silver soldered SS many, many time with great success.* It's NOT rocket science.* Obviosly the "guy" who brazed your parts was inept.* I can guarentee that if I braze your parts, to MY satisfaction, they will not fail due to lack of adhesion.* You have to understand the materials you are working with.

The trouble was there was no access. He did the best he could in the circumstances and got me a couple more years out of it. When it failed and I took it in again, he refused to touch it. This guy is a wizard with a welder, on SS and on Aluminum. So when he said no, I listened.
